Sound Challenge

The Vea offers mutli-purpose event spaces within the hotel for weddings, company events, and more. The spaces are beautifully finished with wood beam ceilings, hardwood floors, and glass garage doors that open to an outdoor patio. Since the spaces have high ceilings and the walls, floors, and ceilings are all hard surfaces, the echo and overall noise level during events made the spaces challenging to use. 

Sound Solution

To help the Vea overcome this, we installed acoustical panels wraped around each wood ceiling beam that had a custom-printed wood grain surface that matched the existing ceiling finish. This provided the proper level of sound absorption and improved the overall acoustics of the spaces for a more pleasing attendee experience, while keeping the look of the space virtually untouched.
